You can bring in multiple DJs or genres of music at once.
There are some moments where everyone should be on the same wavelength
A silent disco is a FUN surprise for your guests.
How long is too long? You don't want a silent disco to go on all night.
You don't have to worry about amplified noise restrictions.

Client Education: Uplighting Pt.2 - The Truth about Uplighting Packages
Proper Coverage & Control is the key to creating a beautifully lit event space.
“No one who does lighting well, does it for nothing.”
Take a look at your Pinterest boards and the saved pictures on your Instagram… all those spaces were done with at MINIMUM of 20-30 lighting fixtures. Proper Coverage & Control is the key to creating a beautifully lit event space. If the budget DJ company you inquired with is offering a package of 12 or 18 lights for $295, $195, or free - is that a good deal? Is that enough lighting to achieve your vision? If you’re not asking the right questions, probably not.

Here are the questions you should be asking about uplighting:
Is that DJ also a professional lighting designer?
How old is their equipment?
What equipment are they using?
Based on the fee for lighting services, is that DJ motivated to do the best job for you?
Can they reprogram lighting onsite if you're not happy with the preselected color?
Can they change the color or dim the brightness of lighting when dancing starts?
Is that DJ willing to do an onsite consultation just for lighting design purposes?
Do they keep additional lighting onsite in case one or more fixtures go down?
For a professional lighting company - that’s hundreds of pounds in gear, one additional staff member, a delivery vehicle rental, hours of programming, consultation time, & over $10,000.00 invested in equipment.
Here’s a breakdown of pre-packaged uplighting offered by cheap DJ companies in a standard event space and
proper coverage is the key to a well lighted event space
8 Lights: 1 Light per corner, 1 per wall
12 Lights: 1 in each corner, 2 per wall.
18 Lights: 1 in each corner, 3 per wall, and a choice of an accented entryway, or your cake table & your sweetheart table.
When a space is has been professional designed and produced

The bottom line is any professional lighting designer would never recommend less than 20 fixtures for an space space. On top of that to have a space where you can’t control the lighting is even worse. This service isnt cheap, but the impact it has on the event is priceless. Your photographer & videographer will thank you (and us) later.

Sparkler Fountains by DJ Cory Barron & Co. | Barron + Co. DJs
Here’s what you need to know:
Cold Spark Blitzz FX Machine, also known as a cold spark effect or cold sparkler fountains, is safe to use, spark machine that emits a cold to the touch fountain of sparks up to 15’ high, which are not subject to catching fire. This device does not feature any pyrotechnics, but instead offers a safe, simulated pyrotechnic experience.
Equipment we used:
Furman PL-PLUS DMC Power Conditioner
12 gauge outdoor rated 50’ extension cord per unit
ProX Blitzz FX Cold Spark Machines
Material: Titanium and Zirconium Proprietary Mix
We learned a lot about power requirements during the setup.
You absolutely can NOT use a GFI/GFCI protected circuit or 2 or 3. The overload protection is delicate during the machines warm up process and will trip the circuit.
You need (1) 15amp non-GFI circuit to power up to (4) four Blitzz FX units
Power Conditioning - We would highly recommend protecting your investment.
iDJnow - ProX Blitzz FX Cold Spark Machine
Why we chose the the ProX Blitzz FX:
One of the main reasons we chose the Blitzz FX as our main Cold Spark Machine is that ProX ( an American Company based in NJ), stands behind their product 100% and has offered responsive customer service since the purchase of these units. By choosing the ProX Blitzz FX, we were guaranteed the latest in cold spark technology, high safety standards, and value.
What we were looking for in our Cold Sparkler Fountain Machines:
We wanted a compact size and weight, without compromising the build quality, safety, & volume of the sparkler show. These units are a smaller version of the original Blitzz machines and the sleek design is self-contained inside a small black metal box. These have a longer run time (90 seconds) than most units currently on the market (30 - 60 seconds). They produce very little to no smoke and produce no odor, which is almost unheard amongst the Cold Sparkler industry. The granules used in these machines have no explosive content. It is also self-cleaning, so there is no mess afterward. This machine is fully programmable and easy to set up., you have the ability to control the height and duration of the sparkler display.
You can control multiple units with ProX's wireless remote system. These can be set up in circles, at different heights, and so much more to give you the impressive show you have always wanted. Whether you are providing this display at a concert, a festival, or even a birthday party, the functions are completely customizable.
Safety is our number one priority.
We needed a unit that was safe and effective indoors and outdoors. The Cold Spark Machine is a non pyrotechnic effect - it does use combustable material, it does not catch or create fire. The effect reaches a temperature of 62.5º F and just incase of an emergency, these units include a precautionary safety shutoff feature. The Cold Spark Machine fountain system allows for safe creation of the stunning desired sparks effects.
Cold Sparkler Fountains Material:
The ProX Composite Ti Stage Effect powder is a proprietary combination of Titanium and Zirconium. It contains no combustive content. The material produces a Cold Spark Effect at approximately 62 (sixty-two) degrees Fahrenheit (16.7 degrees Celsius) The product is designed for use ONLY in the ProX Cold Spark Machine and must be used as directed in the equipment instruction manual.
The ProX Blitzz FX machine works by heating up small grains of a proprietary mixture of metals, which are loaded into the machine from small pre-measured pouches. Every 7 ounces (200-gram) packet gives the operator approximately 10 to 15 minutes of firing time, in 90-second increments with a cooldown time, which means no reloading the device after a single shot. These grains produce cool-to-the-touch sparks, and there is no possibility of igniting a fire as it does not use flames or gunpowder. The effect also produces virtually no smoke, and leaves no foul odor in the air, making this a great effect for indoor use.

““Cory Barron is a phenomenal DJ and really just an overall great person! As New Yorkers, finding the perfect DJ for our destination wedding in Florida was one of the most important aspects of planning our wedding. We wanted to find a DJ that would keep the party alive, without having to create our own playlist for the night. We ended up putting our full trust in Cory to choose the majority of our songs and he seriously did not let us down! Cory had our guests dancing the entire time and bought so much positive energy to our wedding! He even had one of our friends act as a “guest DJ” which was a ton of fun and such a good time!
From day one, Cory made sure that we had everything we ever wanted, which definitely went far beyond the music. He worked with us to find the perfect up-lighting for our venue and even provided a dance on the cloud effect for our first dance! He had a modern DJ booth which to our surprise, is not something that most other DJ companies had in the area. My husband and I cannot thank Cory enough for being a part of our special day. DJ Cory Barron & Co. comes more than highly recommended and we are so grateful to have met him!!!!!!””

Client Education: Uplighting Pt.1
Uplighting can make a huge impact on the atmosphere of an event space! As a client purchasing lighting services, how do you know what you’re getting from your vendors? Chances are, unless you’re asking the right questions - you probably don’t.
Uplighting can make a huge impact on the atmosphere of an event space! As a client purchasing lighting services, how do you know what you’re getting from your vendors? Chances are, unless you’re asking the right questions - you probably don’t.
Lighting technology has changed drastically over the last 10 years and with the changes specifically in LED technology that could mean trouble for your event, IF, your vendors aren’t using newer fixtures. Older lights create colors by mixing individual Red, Blue, & Green LEDs causing a medley of colors including streaks of unwanted colors to show up on walls and other surfaces until the color tones even out. Old batteries only last a few hours, so many times these older fixtures will die during an event, leaving blank and poorly lit areas not only aesthetically displeasing, but unsafe. Older fixtures also often have a ‘refresh rate’ causing some lights to look like they’re rapidly flashing (strobe light effect) or cause bands of darkness to appear in photos and video. This refresh rate can cause nightmares for your photographer & videographer. DJs and other vendors offering free or low cost lighting options often use these products.
Rest assured when working with us, our goals are to simply offer a quality, vendor friendly service. Our brand new wireless LED uplighting fixtures have 6 different solid color LEDs allowing us to make over 1.2 million custom colors, a 20 hour battery life, are capable of throwing color over 100ft and have NO refresh rate - completely solid color in all photos and video. If you have questions please reach out to us!
